Never, never, never say:
I will do this or that before you first consulted Yahweh our God
about it.
| James 4:13-17 |
Come now, ye that say, To-day or to-morrow we will
go into this city, and spend a year there, and trade, and get gain: 14
whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. What is your life? For ye
are a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. 15
For that ye ought to say (Gr.: Instead of your saying),
If the Lord will, we shall both live, and do this or that. 16 But
now ye glory in your vaunting: all such glorying is evil. 17 To him
therefore that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin. |
Always keep in mind that it is not you but God Who is at
the controls.
All these things we have seen in this series will prove to be fruitful to you as
long as you depend on God. The very moment you let pride in and you start
talking greater of yourself than you ought to, you may be close to a deeper fall
than you ever imagined.
God gave you abilities - It your your task to train them and use them
After your abilities God will also give you talents which are in balance
with your abilities - With these talents you have to work
| Matthew 25:14- |
For it is as when a man, going into another country,
called his own servants (Gr.: bondservants),
and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five
talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his
several ability; and he went on his journey. 16 Straightway he
that received the five talents went and traded with them, and made other
five talents. 17 In like manner he also that received the two
gained other two. 18 But he that received the one went away and dug
in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. 19 Now after a
long time the lord of those servants (Gr.:
bondservants) comes back, and makes a reckoning with them. 20
And he that received the five talents came and brought other five talents,
saying, Lord, you delivered unto me five talents: see, I have gained other
five talents. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and
faithful servant (Gr.: bondservant):
you have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things;
enter into the joy of your lord. 22 And he also that received
the two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered unto me two talents:
see, I have gained another two talents. 23 His lord said
unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant (Gr.:
bondservant): you have been faithful over a few things, I will
set you over many things; enter into the joy of your lord. 24 And
he also that had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew you
that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering
where you did not scatter; 25 and I was afraid, and went
away and hid your talent in the earth: see, you have your own back. 26
But his lord answered and said unto him, you wicked and slothful servant (Gr.:
bondservant), you knew that I reap where I sowed not, and gather
where I did not scatter; 27 you ought therefore to have put my
money to the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back mine
own with interest. 28 Take away therefore the talent from him, and
give it to him that has the ten talents. 29 For unto every one that
has shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that has
not, even that which he has shall be taken away. 30 And cast out
the unprofitable servant (Gr.: bondservant) into
the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. |
As long as you do best you can, you will succeed in the field
of your abilities
Not for your glory, but to HIS glory only !
I remember a what happened to Rick husband.
I want to become an astronaut..!
When he was still an young boy he would tell this to everybody who wanted to
listen to him. He grew up and when he became older his wish was still to
be an astronaut. It was his sole and single goal for life.
 |
He applied to join the navy and he was
accepted,
and he succeeded in it |
 |
He applied to become a pilot and he
was accepted,
and he succeeded in it |
 |
He applied three times at NASA to become
an astronaut,
and three times he was rejected
The fourth time he was accepted, and he succeeded in it.
Then...
 |
He was selected for a flight,
he trained hard for it and succeeded |
 |
While he was in space
his mission was a great success |
 |
But on the way back to earth,
after all these successes
at the entry of earth's atmosphere his spacecraft broke up
in mid-air and he together with the other crewmembers he
died in this terrible accident |
|
This man had a line of success. He
wanted to become an astronaut, and he became after a row of
successes an astronaut. He reached the goal that he set for his life,
that far he was successful. Of course he knew the risks, but tell me do you
really think that this was what he had in mind? Of course not!
What I want to say with this?
The following: There can be a risk in being successful, a risk that has eternal
influence on you IF you do not ask God what HE wants you to
do. You can do almost all. For sure you can succeed in the areas of your
abilities!
But always ask God
 |
What HE wants you to do, |
 |
Where (in what realm, or in what location) HE
wants you to use your abilities, and |
 |
How HE wants you to use your abilities. |
So it will be profitable to Him and therefore to you. (Read
above bible verses!)

This concludes this series on success.
You read it; you felt the thrill of new ambition tugging strongly at your heart.
Now, what are you going to do?
 |
Are you going to let it end with just a thrill? |
 |
Or are you going to now to make your life worth while |
You have been stimulated. You have been lifted. Now go to
work
If this series was a help to you, we would be happy to hear from you.
